Mr. Hilado was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1990, he received his law degree form Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a finalist of the Environmental Law Moot Court and quarter finalist in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.

He has been practicing since 1991 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

He began his practice of law with the law firm of Zimmerman, Shuffield, Kiser, & Sutcliffe, P.A. where he represented employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers' compensation claims. He learned that he had significant compassion for injured workers, and in 1996 he decided to join Mr. Wieland and represent only injured workers and their families. Since that time he has made a significant impact in expanding benefits for injured workers by winning cases before The Supreme Court of Florida. He is an experienced attorney who has earned Board Certification by the Florida Bar association in the area of Workers' Compensation. Mr. Hilado specializes in Workers' compensation cases as well as Social Security Disability claims.

He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, The Orange County Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers, and The Florida Workers' Advocates.

Mr. Hilado is married to Nan Hilado and has three sons.
