Mr. Wieland is a native of Orlando, Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

He has been practicing since 1982 and handles cases involving workers' compensation claims, social security disability claims, auto accident, product liability, slip and fall accidents, insurance litigation, employment related claims and general negligence claims. In 2002 and 2003, being selected as one of the top 55 lawyers in Central Florida by Orlando Magazine honored him. He has been board certified in Workers' Compensation since 1990.

He is past president of the Florida Workers' Advocates, and past chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, an Eagle Member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group. In addition he has been selected for Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Practicing Attorneys, Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, and selected by his peers to be included in the "Best Lawyers in America".

He is active in his community and church serving as Chancellor for his national and diocesan Anglican church, president of his home owners association, and a trustee of the Orlando Area Trust for the homeless, currently serving as chairman. He is married to Kennie Wieland and has two sons.
